Summer Life Begins

The kids finished their Spring season of soccer, and Anders enjoyed the way his coach presented the trophy.

The Girl's team won first place in her division, so she was pretty excited.
You're just jealous!  Not every lady gets to have a soft, cuddly rabbit with her Earl Grey tea!
ChubChub told us that he's disguised as an atheist (he meant "agent").  Pretty big words for a six-year old...
We enjoyed a few hours at the local River Days, and The Girl had a great time bouncing.
Anders and Josiah helped Pop build saw horses for a huge 4-H Field Day at the local elementary school.  He and the other boys were the teachers, and they did a great job with the 400+ kids who attended.
We've enjoyed being with the Haitians the last few weeks.

Josiah has a new hunting buddy, a nice little English Pointer.
Branch helped fill goody bags for the 4-H Field Day, and the candies were oh-so-appealing.
Mean Ol' Mama was given a sweet surprise gift.  Isn't it wrapped beautifully?
The kids had a wonderful end of year concert down in Tallahassee.
The Girl enjoyed receiving her certificate for first year performance.
The Girl also has enjoyed sharing time with a new friend.  They made egg pasta from scratch for a delicious lunch.

They also made sticky buns and cinnamon rolls.

Sunday afternoon we enjoyed a refreshing meeting with one of our favorite groups of Haitians.  They come to work in the harvest each year, and we had a nice time together.
We'll be busy for the next few weeks with the migrant workers; Mean Ol' Mama begins teaching classes again this week; we're hosting an English/Latin/History/Memory co-op here in the home starting tomorrow; the boys are busy at the U-Pick; the hot weather is quickly becoming part of our daily life; our garden is growing well and beginning to produce; busy, busy, busy...
