The Girl participated in a "food bank foods" cooking contest. We'll know more about it in a few weeks.

The big news is that we were able to travel to Minnesota for my good father in law's funeral. It was a time to be with family and friends. You can see the funeral (including The Girl playing and the boys singing) at YouTube, Lowell Austinson.

Chub shot a squirrel. Pretty gruesome, but these little things critters are becoming destructive. Plus, they're edible, too. Fried squirrel, anyone?

 This rogue sweet potato sure has become a pretty plant. It won't last much longer, but it's amazing how an old sweet potato can produce such beautiful leaves.

 Pop's roosters are becoming more intricate. He has added beads to his latest collection.
