Tuesday

The following photo is fuzzy, but the heart of the matter is crystal clear: Friends lean on friends. We had our monthly meeting today. The 4H teacher visited and presented her first class to our group. The children enjoyed the activities, and another mom got them involved in singing songs that are part of our culture as Americans. It was a sweet visit with everyone.
A photo of opened envelopes? Yep, and they contain test scores for Stennes and Anders. Georgia law requires that homeschool students take a standardized test every 3 years, beginning in the third grade. Their scores were fine, but Mean Ol' Mama isn't impressed by the papers. Our family requirements are different: can they change a diaper; kill, clean, and cook food; entertain a sick sibling; be kind to an outcast; argue a point intelligently; communicate the Gospel in another language; perform well even when tired, hungry, thirsty, and bug-bitten; can they recognize that loving God and living for others is both right and fulfilling; and the list continues...
