Monday Muses

The Girl cooked up a wok-full of freshly ground chicken. We have so many fresh eggs and we managed to use a grand total of 29 on Sunday, thanks to one of the boys' favorite meals: Toad-in-the-Hole. Believe us, it's a lot tastier than it sounds. We had 2 fabulous meetings Sunday afternoon. The first was in a desperately poor trailer park full of people with serious needs. The photo below shows the second meeting. We've been here before, but it's been a while, so some of the faces were new to us. We were blessed to have clothes to hand out.
We regaled them with song and music as they searched through the clothing. Most of the Hispanics are unfamiliar with some of the instruments we play, such as the banjo and mandolin, so they really enjoy the show...
Mean Ol' Mama explained the inner workings of a box one of the little girls had found. These girls were soooooo sweet.
The guys started up a soccer game with the other young boys. It was tricky for them to run in cowboy boots.
And then there's Poppins. We can't take him anywhere in public! He's such fun!
