ChubChub insisted that I take a picture of him as he demonstrates how to sit in the chair properly in order to grind grain.
After breakfast, The Girl worked diligently peeling peaches, getting them ready for the freezer. She had quite a pile to work through.
After swimming with the boys, Poppins and I went out for a late lunch in one of our favorite restaurants, about 30 miles away. It was nice to complete a sentence, eat a meal, tell a story, and just talk without interruptions. We did a bit of shopping afterwards. My sister Chan kept the kids and took them to see some cousins who are visiting.
The boys told me earlier this week that they are ready to begin school again. They don't want to stop the Sabbatical entirely, just add in some of their classes between Scholar Projects and summer activities. Mean Ol' Mama was glad to hear that they are feeling "...as if we aren't accomplishing anything, Mama...". Tonight I looked through my millions of lists, checklists, plans, etc. in hopes that everything we need to get done would somehow miraculously slip into an easy schedule. Alas, I hoped in vain. Instead, Poppins and I took the boys around town to various tennis courts looking for stray balls. We had a fun time, and I have made an executive decision to ignore all of this paperwork and scheduling until tomorrow. Perhaps the cobbler's little elves will jump out of the storybook and tap-tap-tap out a workable plan for us...
