Life Skills and our Sabbatical

I have a collection of different lists that we'll be working our way through. Isn't this a snazzy title, "Life Skills"? It's hard to wax eloquent when you're talking about scrubbing toilets, balancing the checkbook, cooking, and all those other unromantic necessities of life.On each list of skills, there are boxes with each child's initial to be checked off as the skill is attained. This is part of our Basics of Sabbatical.
There are also a few suggestions for motor development skill levels for each child. We have a lot of fun outside with these ideas.
Hopefully by the end of our Sabbatical, we will have strengthened the kids' weaknesses, not just in life skills but in self-discipline and confidence in their abilities. Poppins and I want them to realize that when they acquire new strengths, it's for the benefit of God's kingdom and for the furthering of His message. These kids of ours surprise us many times with their insights and thoughts for their own futures. They're not perfect, but they're good kids ...on the road to Godliness with a vision for the years to come.
